Natural Convection Hydro-magnetic Flow and Heat Transfer past an Infinite Vertical Porous Plate embedded in a Porous Medium
Main Article Content
Abstract
The problem of three dimensional natural convection flow and heat transfer of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid through a highly porous medium past an infinite vertical porous plate with periodic permeability has been considered. The governing equations of the flow field are solved and the expressions for the velocity, temperature, skin friction and the heat flux in terms of Nusselt number Nu are obtained assuming the free stream velocity to be uniform. The effects of the pertinent flow parameters such as magnetic parameter M, permeability parameter Kp, Grashof number for heat transfer Gr and the Prandtl number Pr on the velocity, temperature, skin friction and the heat flux at the wall have been discussed analytically and presented graphically with the help of figures and tables.
